Here are the first three photos of Max’s campaign for Macy’s INC Men’s Collection:
TO THE MAX: It was English actor Max Irons’ “natural style” that prompted Macy’s to sign him as the new face of its INC men’s collection. “We liked his polish and the fact that he isn’t well known yet in the U.S.,” said Nancy Slavin, senior vice president of marketing for Macy’s Merchandising Group. “But he’s on a trajectory and is quintessentially this brand. He wears the clothes very naturally.”
The ads, shot by Walter Chin and styled by Bill Mullen, are in black and white and feature Irons, son of Academy Award-winning actor Jeremy Irons, in both tailored and casual INC looks. It is the first time Macy’s has used an actor as a spokesman for the brand.
Irons will be featured online and his image will be in the 631 stores that carry the collection, beginning in February, when the shops are converted to spring merchandise, Slavin said. In addition, a short video of Irons discussing his personal style will be imbedded in the QR codes found in the INC departments, allowing customers with smartphones to view the film. “We’ve done similar things with Martha Stewart, Tommy Hilfiger, Rachel Roy and Bobbi Brown,” Slavin said, “and we’ve had huge customer engagement with these videos.”

Macy’s has snagged English actor Max Irons to be the new face of its INC men’s collection. Irons, who will play the leading male role of Jared in “The Host,” a film adaptation of “Twilight” author Stephenie Meyer’s science fiction novel, in 2013, will appear in the brand’s spring 2012 men’s campaign. It will be shot by Walter Chin and styled by Bill Mullen. A graduate of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Irons is the son of Academy Award-winning actor Jeremy Irons, and the grandson of Cyril Cusack. In addition to still images, the INC campaign will include a short video of the actor discussing his personal style and self-expression.
Here are several new outtakes from the Evening Standard shoot, as well as few ones from That Magazine.

A big congratulations to Max as he has snagged the role of Jared Howe in Stephenie Meyer’s The Host. He will be acting opposite Saoirse Ronan and Jake Abel. We are so thrilled and we can’t wait to see him in action!
The fifth and final Twilight film may be scheduled to release next November, but Stephenie Meyer ain’t done with you yet. Her best-selling 2008 science-fiction novel The Host — her only non-Twilight work to date — is in the process of being turned into a film, so expect to hear plenty of news about it between now and its March 29, 2013 release date. In fact, here’s some right now: The important role of Jared Howe will be played by 26-year-old actor Max Irons, EW has learned.
Irons, son of Oscar-winning and golden-throated actor Jeremy Irons, was last seen in this year’s Red Riding Hood. For this project, he joins director Andrew Niccol (In Time, Gattaca) and the long-attached Saoirse Ronan, who will play Melanie Stryder, a young woman who shares her body with an alien force known as Wanderer. Since no Meyer novel is complete without some complicated relationship geometry, Jake Abel has been cast in the role of Ian, a man who falls in love with Wanderer despite the fact that she is in the body of Melanie who is in love with Jared. Fans of the book, may I suggest you start preparing your visual aids and PowerPoint explanations now.
The film will begin shooting in February in Louisiana and then New Mexico and will mark one of the first productions for Open Road Films, a young distribution company backed by AMC and Regal theater chains.
